Sanako Corporation participated in “ICT LITERACY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE 2010” on 15th of September in Hanoi, Vietnam. The conference was organized by Certiport, a US company offering ICT certification IC3, and Sanako’s partner IIG, who offers TOEIC and TOEFL certifications to Vietnamese students. The purpose of the conference was to explain the importance of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) and language learning in vocational schools. IC3 certification, which can be used to present the level of IT skills, was highlighted. Sanako’s part was to present technology based language teaching and learning systems.
170 vocational school directors and ICT directors attended the event. The opening speech was held by Mr. Dam Huu Dac, Standing Vice Minister of Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam.
Presentation of the Strategic Development plan for Vocational Training System in Vietnam to the year 2020 was held by Dr Nguyen Hong Minh, Director for Vocational Training Department.
In a number of presentations, by e.g. principals of vocational institutions, ICT and Language learning were raised as focus competences on a national level. Kimmo Kärpijoki, SVP of Project Business at Sanako Corporation, presented Sanako’s world leading solutions in language teaching, and what can be done to support efficient language learning.
The closing speech was held by Dr. Duong Duc Lan, Deputy General Director.
